Job Description
SOL Dance Lab is seeking passionate, reliable, and experienced dance instructors for the 2026–2027 dance season. We are looking for energetic educators who are dedicated to developing dancers both technically and artistically while creating a positive and empowering classroom environment.
OVERVIEW

Responsibilities

Develop engaging and age-appropriate dance curricula tailored to different skill levels and student needs.

Lead energetic dance classes that promote technique, creativity, and confidence among students.

Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and motivating learning environment.

Provide individualized feedback and support to help students improve their dancing abilities.

Incorporate choreography, and performance preparation into lessons to enhance student engagement.

Collaborate with colleagues on special projects such as recitals, workshops, or community outreach events.

Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate progress with parents or guardians when appropriate.

Arrive prepared and on time for classes and rehearsals

Encourage teamwork, discipline, and artistic growth
Qualifications
-
Ability to keep POLITICAL or PERSONAL views to themselves and OUT of the classroom
-
Proven experience in one or some of the following teaching dance styles: ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical and commercial dance a PLUS - with a strong background in choreography and lesson planning.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, and adult learners across various skill levels.

Knowledge of classroom management techniques to foster a positive learning atmosphere.

Experience working with special education needs or in inclusive classroom settings is advantageous a PLUS, but not required.
Other Qualifications

Competition choreography experience
-
Industry or professional performance experience (preferred but not required)

CPR/First Aid Certification (optional)

Degree or training in dance-related fields (preferred but not required)
